Con Ed Work, Neperan Road Closure, Holiday Sanitation Schedule, Egg Hunt Postponed

Con Edison Update

Main Street: Week of 4/3/23 service lines will be connected to more than 10 businesses. Night work will take place on Monday, April 3 for connections to Main Street Pizza and Pik Nik Barbecue. Night work scheduled beginning at 7pm until the connection is complete.

Windle Park and Franklin Street: Work ongoing on Windle Park and Franklin Street. The gas main installation is complete. By the end of the week, Con Ed expects to be at the top of Franklin Street near John Street.

E. Sunnyside: Work on Tarrytown side of the border expected to continue for at least one more week.

Week of April 10:

Con Edison will begin paving and road restoration for streets north of Main Street beginning the week of April 10. This includes:

• Cottage Place
• Mechanics Avenue
• Ann Street
• North Washington Street from Central to Main
• Storm Street
• Kaldenberg Place.
• Central Avenue

Because Central Avenue is a truck and bus route, it will be completed last.

Neperan Road Closure 4/7/23

Please be advised that on Friday, April 7, Neperan Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic for Con Edison work on a utility pole between Lake Road and the NYS Department of Transportation Park and Ride.

Please make alternative travel arrangements. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Village Holiday on Good Friday, Amended Sanitation Schedule

Village municipal offices are closed for business on Friday April 7, 2023 in observance of Good Friday.

Sanitation holiday schedule for Friday, April 7, 2023:

• No commercial district garbage collection.

Next garbage pick up on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Please note: it is in violation of Village Code 183 to place garbage out for collection before the appropriate collection date.

• No residential collection of bulk items.

Next bulk pick up on Friday, April 14, 2023 (by appointment only).

Easter Egg Hunt Postponed

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, Saturday's Spring Eggstravaganza has been postponed. It will now be on Saturday, April 8th. There is no need to re-register. See you at Patriot's Park on Saturday, April 8th during your child's designated time.
