OUTAGES:
As of 11am, Con Edison reports that approximately 402 customers remain without power in the vicinity, mostly in the Neperan Road and Crest area. Con Edison is currently on-site clearing the tree damage and repairing the fallen pole and wires on Cobb Lane. They expect the majority of outages to be resolved upon completion of those repairs.
ROAD CLOSURES:
Cobb Lane is currently the only roadway closed in Tarrytown.
FALLEN TREES:
The Public Works Department has worked throughout the night to remove fallen trees, and continues to do so. If there are branches or trees that have fallen or other obstructions in your roadway that have not yet been cleared, you can call the Public Works Department at (914) 631-0356.
FLOODING:
The Fire Department had to respond to one household for flooding issues.

STORM SAFETY TIPS FROM CON EDISON:

Do not go near downed electrical wires. Treat downed wires as if they are live. Never attempt to move them or touch them with any object. Be mindful that downed wires can be hidden from view by tree limbs, leaves or water.
- Report downed wires to Con Edison and your local police department immediately. If a power line falls on your car while you’re in it, stay inside the vehicle and wait for emergency personnel.
- Members of the public should also avoid transformers that are brought to the ground. The transformers are gray metal drums attached to the wires and poles.

If your power goes out, disconnect or turn off appliances that would otherwise turn on automatically when service is restored. If several appliances start up at once, the electric circuits may overload.
