The Recreation Rundown is issued every other Friday to all subscribers to the Tarrytown Link Newsletter. The Rundown is designed to keep residents informed about Recreational news, programming, activities, and events happening in the community. There's so much going on in the Recreation Department these days! Did you know that in the past year alone our Department has offered almost 20 brand new programs in addition to all of your traditional favorites? Last October, we helped bring back the Village's annual Halloween Parade after a two year hiatus due to Covid-19. In March, we joined forces with Sleepy Hollow Parks & Rec to bring a new and improved Egg Hunt to the two villages. And just this summer, we welcomed a new Camp Director and held our first ever Adults-only Luau Pool Party. With everything that's happening, we wanted to find a way to keep you informed. That's why we've introduced the "Recreation Rundown," a bi-weekly Parks & Recreation-only newsletter that will be sent every other Friday to subscribers of the Tarrytown Village Link. September marks the unofficial end of Summer. While we still have one outdoor Pierson Park Concert and one Pool weekend left for you to enjoy, we'll soon be looking forward to spooky Halloween-themed activities, our youth basketball programs, and-- if it's cold enough-- ice skating on the lakes! With some beautiful weather on the way this weekend, there's still time to get your last pool day (or three) in! On Monday we'll say so long to the 2023 season with a DJ performing between 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM!

Does your furry friend have the Waggiest Tail in the Village? Are they the most dapper dog around? Come on down to Pierson Park on Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 AM for our "Dogs on Parade" Event! While your pooches parade around the park, our judges will be handing out awards in several different categories. And for the first time ever, after the parade is done, we'll welcome all pups into the pool for splashes and doggie paddles! There's no fee to register, simply fill out the form at the link below! | |
