PIERSON PARK REHAB/ANDRE BROOK REHAB PROJECT UPDATE
PIERSON PARK REHABILITATION AND ANDRE BROOK RESTORATION PROJECTS UPDATE

Construction has commenced on the Pierson Park rehabilitation and Andre Brook restoration projects.  The construction area, which includes Pierson Park west and south of the Senior Center and Andre Brook from the outlet at the intersection of West Main Street and Green Street, has been fenced off and is now a construction zone.  Only authorized construction related personnel are permitted in the construction zone.  Approximately fifteen parking spaces in the commuter parking lot off of West Main Street have been taken out of service at this time for construction purposes.  In addition, the pedestrian bridge between the Green Street commuter parking lot and Pierson Park has been closed.

Scenic Hudson RiverWalk Park will remain open during construction.  The Recreation Department will also be open during construction.  The contractor has one year to complete the rehabilitation/restoration project, which includes new tennis courts and a basketball court.

As additional information become available, the Village will update this information.

All other parking areas on the west side of the railroad tracks remain open.  closest to the river Village of Tarrytown, in cooperation with the Village of Sleepy Hollow, will be sponsoring fireworks on July 4th with a rain date of July 5th.  The fireworks can be viewed from Scenic Hudson RiverWalk Park; however, Pierson Park will not be available for the viewing of the fireworks.  Pierson Park is fenced in for the rehabilitation project and the Village is requesting that people not breach the fenced area to view the fireworks since the park is now a construction zone.
